I am an anchor, reporter, producer, newsroom leader and social media manager with more than seven years of on-air broadcast experience.
I am currently seeking opportunities in public relations/communications where I can use the unique skills I gained while working in the news industry to continue telling important stories that make a difference in the community.
I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with a Bachelor of Journalism degree in 2013.
Since December of 2017, I have been the Social Media Marketing Manager for the three Pinot's Palette studios in the Las Vegas Valley. I market events for the studios while managing and creating content for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
In July of 2019, I wrapped up a three-year contract anchoring the 6 and 10 p.m. weeknight newscasts at KFDA NewsChannel10, the CBS affiliate in Amarillo, TX.
I started working at NewsChannel10 in 2013, previously serving as a reporter and weekend anchor/producer.
As a journalist who put an emphasis on telling enterprising stories about people that affect people, I sought voices from the community who had a story to tell.
My passion is storytelling and I strived daily to tell viewers important stories in a compelling, fair and creative way across all platforms.
I was a newsroom leader who jumped into action to organize breaking news situations while working daily to make sure content within every newscast was clean and accurate.
My peers considered me the go-to person for advice and someone they could count on to fill in the gaps whenever extra help was needed. Whether helping producers gather and write content for shows or writing stories for the digital team, I was always available to assist.
I am a firm believer you can never stop learning or growing. I look forward to new opportunities to further develop my skills so I can become the best storyteller I can be.
